xWhiplash
I am sorry if this is a dumb question, but one thing I hated about the Wii was the remote and nunchuck. I like the standard controller feel. With the WiiU, it looks like you can play it with that gamepad? Is that just for some games, or all games? What about original Wii games? Also, what if I want to play with a friend, can I use two game pads, or does somebody need to use that remote and nunchuck? I would like to play Super Smash Bros again. Tarvis123
You can play all Wii U games with the gamepad. The original Wii games require the Wiimote and nunchuk however. As far as multiplayer games on the Wii U, more than likely they require a Wiimote (and possibly nunchuk) for the other players. Some games support the Wii U pro controller for the other players. The Wii U technically supports two gamepads at the same time, but no games make use of this feature yet, and you can't buy a standalone gamepad from a retail store yet anyways. According to Nintendo, it will be coming eventually. As far as playing Smash Bros, I use this adapter to use the gamecube controller on the Wii U: http://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-Nintendo-GameCube-Controller-Adapter-Wii/dp/B00BS520SG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1380285905&sr=8-1&keywords=wii+u+gamecube+adapter
