Manufacturer's site doesnt always have the latest drivers. If you know what the device is, search for it in Google. It's not that hard looking for drivers. Or go to device manager, dbl click on the device / go to details tab / change it to hardware id's.
Copy/paste a line or 2 into Google. It'll tell you what it is. I've never bothered with updating drivers, since Win7/8 came out. Theyre like firewalls. People think separate firewalls maybe better for you than windows firewall.
They maybe, but, like drivers, firewalls can crash, hang, hang your system on shutdown, block things., As the saying goes if it aint broke don't fix it
But you should definitely get the BIOS update from the manufacturer's site. Not from some random site
