slysy
Was talking to an Asus rep today and he told me that the Asus wireless AC routers (e.g. rt-ac66u) do not support 5ghz over wireless N. He said that they only support 5ghz with AC clients. Is that correct? I was a little surprised by what he was saying.
Lord Zog
They do support 5Ghz over 802.11n... Using an rt-ac66u and no problems at 5Ghz for me.
remixedcat
They do but you may run into connectivity issues with 20/40Mhz N clients by making the 5Ghz band 80Mhz channel width only. It may have an "auto" option, however. If it does configure it to "auto" however doing that may lower your 802.11ac link rate.
