UFOs Hover Over Smoking Ship, Then Vanish

Recommended Posts

A number of unusual glowing lights recently appeared in the sky near a smoking ship reportedly somewhere off the California coast. They moved in that dazzling way that gets UFO enthusiasts excited, lighting up the sky.

Then, one-by-one, the lights disappear in different directions away from the ship.

According to the YouTube poster of the video, looknowtv, these unidentified objects were "recorded in California from the viewpoint of the beach. You can see a few UFOs flying over or behind this ship which appears to have a large amount of smoke coming from it."

The lack of further details from the videographer and YouTube poster raises many red flags and questions of credibility here.

So, HuffPost showed the video to one of our resident UFO image and video analysts, Marc Dantonio, owner of FX Models, a company that creates special miniature prototypes for government and military projects.

"Remarkably, this does look like something I have seen!" Dantonio told HuffPost in an email. "To me, it looks like these are jets with afterburners on, heading away from the camera."

Dantonio refers to a new radar-evading military fighter jet -- the F-35 -- with the capability of hovering like a helicopter. The F-35 is currently undergoing successful tests.

"This could be one of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter wings doing training over the ocean where the afterburner is allowed," Dantonio suggested.

"As the first one peels off to the lower right, the aspect ratio of its circular exhaust and afterburner shape changes with respect to the camera and gradually fades away. Similarly, the others -- except for one -- follow suit. So, to me, this looks exactly like a tactical training mission which happened to be seen over a ship that looks like its engines were being cycled up."

Dantonio is also convinced the video doesn't show flares in the sky.

"Although the initial video event shows something that looks like flares, the subsequent behavior does not match the expected behavior," he said. "Parachute flares would not appear to hang in the sky like this unless they were quite far away, perhaps 30-plus miles away when seen."

the best part of UFO's is the fact that they don't inherently mean alien. its just Unidentified. So its probably just a helicopter or something looking at the boatt :P

4 helicopters, shining bright round lights ???

Doesn't sound likely.

It is not flares. I've seen many flares, and they don't hang in the air at the same altitude for almost a minute and then rise in altitude out of view.

It's also not 4 helicopters. The movement is completely wrong, and the lights don't change when the helicopter would have rotated to change direction and altitude.

Emergency flares.

LMAO..  What have you been smoking on?

You need to stop getting shrooms from those people in Person Above You thread..

As others said... the flares do not float around....

But it could be the emergency lights to signal for help.

Besides the video could be a made-up / make-believe.

Who cares? Without decent quality footage we can't come to any worthwhile conclusions, though common sense precludes the involvements of aliens.

Common sense is just based on one's personal Beliefs -- and we know how wrong those can be. ;)

These objects are usually far away, most people will only have their phones on them to record. As you know phones are terrible at recording things far away. They make them look even smaller. You'd need a professional camera and a decent lens I think. Unless you're literally right next to it.

thing is why would the alien ships glow? its kind of like ooo look at me but we want to be covert looking at this ship lets put all the lights on.

UFO doesn't mean alien in the 'Little Green Men' sense.

The one thing i think it may be, and i saw these in operation in the 80's when a Chinook ploughed in to a loch here, is a weird phosphorus reusable flare that they hang from the underneath of helicopters on cables to illuminate search areas. Question remains mind you, why use them in this day and age of halogen lamps and why so many choppers? Usually two can illuminate enough surface area to conduct a search.

So we don't yet even know the name of the ship (presuming of course, it's a human-made vessel), but there are those who are ready to speculate on the galactic source of what's being observed?

Not too sure floating incandescent flares over a ship that's already on fire would be terribly empathic.  Still, fire fixed the Waco siege, so what would I know?

Actually, no.

Common sense is based upon obvious things.

It is common sense that you must eat or you will die starving.  I assure you that is not just based on personal belief.

My dad believes those UFO crap..  He usually takes UFO tapes to the parties for everyone to see.

I went to the party with him and told everyone that I don't believe in that crap.

Everyone went silent.
