Atomic Wanderer Chicken
Blackberry should have a 90% off sale now! What they should do is get rid of their current OS, and use a modified Android on it's devices.

#Michael
Why is it also that everyone thinks that switching to Android will magically save the company? People think that if Nokia switches to Android it will somehow make them this multi-billion dollar company again. Where does this flawed thinking come from? Nokia will be put on the same shelf as the old zune players. Microsoft didn't HAVE to buy them... They did because it was a good business decision so they main manufacturer can't leave them (Who knows if that would have happened or not - I would say it wouldn't happen) and it matches their new direction as a devices and services company. The many patents and stuff that Microsoft gained from buying them could give them an edge. I hope Microsoft buys Blackberry (for their patents). Apple and Android wouldn't stand a chance (eventually) IMO.

Who knows what would have happened. I think they would have been alright but I think Microsoft was a little concerned about that too so they purchased them. It lives on in Tizen now, which Samsung is backing as a competitor to Android that they have greater control over, which is pretty funny.
Skiver Veteran Posted October 4, 2013 Veteran Share Posted October 4, 2013 My work mobile phone is a blackberry. I hate it so much but my requests for a different handset have been ignored (even though others have WP or iPhone). Looks like my blackberry is going to have an accident soon  I used to have a BB as my work phone and it was horrible, consistent freezes and phone randomly resetting itself. In the end I went out and bought myself a Nexus 4 and stuck the work sim in it, problem solved! The difference is night and day
