FBI Shuts Down Silk Road, Seizes $3.6m worth of Bitcoins

The FBI has seized ?Silk Road? and arrested its founder, according to New York prosecutors. Promoted online as an ?anonymous Amazon.com?, the website was the worlds largest anonymous Internet marketplace from where controlled and illegal substances could be bought from the comfort of one?s own living room.

:( Why didn't I know this existed!

 That makes two of us.   How the hell was i not away that something like TOR existed?!  Funny thing is now, that is getting this much coverage, how quickly will people turn to it? and how many sites like a demonoid might get started now that people are aware?.....interesting.

He tried to hire somebody to kill a man for $150,000 in Bitcoins? That site must have been the blackmarket of the internet. I tried TOR years ago (way too slow) but I'm glad I never looked for any Darknet sites after I heard about it.
