*shrug*.  Would you rather have Apple update us with a few small new features every year and have an upgrade cost of $20 - $30 or rather hold onto it for multiple years and go back to charging $80 - $120?

I agree overall with your post.  A consistent looking UI in OS X use to be what set it apart from Windows.

Good thing I don't use GameCenter at all, but I am using Reminders quite a bit and wish they would have updated it.

I suspect we will see an OS X next year that has a lot of the UI elements iOS 7 has.

No, i like the yearly releases it's just the inconsistency of the UI that bothers me and how they let bugs slide through QA sometimes and make it to the public even though people are constantly reporting issues to them.

If so it will have to be done carefully as Microsoft's attempt to unify phones, tablets and desktops has been poorly received.

Meh, I don't see them taking it to that extreme.  More in the way that iOS 1-6 style goes well with the OS X UI style from Leopard on up.  Or, how Windows Mobile matched Windows OS in style.

I'm anxiously nervous to see what I worry might be an overly white OS X.

The frosted effect on the menu bar would look really cool.

OS X has never been that consistent since at least Tiger but ok...

I hope it'll be a free upgrade for my new iMac though. I think I'll unbox it only when Mavericks is out.

I also hope it doesn't take the iOS7 route, I don't see this on my computer screen. Flat interfaces are okay but taking out all the skeuomorphism elements only alienates technology and their users.

Report your findings to Apple they may be fixed quickly and ammended before it is released on the app store?

After using iOS7 for a while now, I REALLY wish they were making the entire UI look like iOS7 UI.. Much more polished look

It is very, very fast and responsive. Finally, I was just about to switch back to Windows because of the absolutely pathetic performance of Mountain Lion.

It wont show on the app store. You need an account to get onto developer site, to download it.  Most of your torrent sites have it.  Else, wait for it to be released end of October.

This is the downside of being a paid developer in the iOS Branch.

Thought the $100 price tag they put could be used for both or they could make a bundle.
