Yea, the power of these consoles won't be exploited for a couple of years...still the games look great to me. After playing Killer Instinct, loving it. The graphics on youtube videos don't do games justice.

Do we know whether the X1 will support the MKV container from the dashboard?

Highly unlikely. Your best bet is to convert MKV into M2TS as both consoles will support AVCHD.

I don't really want to convert anything to be honest, i was just hoping for the MKV container, atleast it should support DivxHD which is what i currently use on the 360. :)

Hasn't it been less then stellar on the PS4 as well. Both of these consoles suck so its not big surprise.  BF4 looks crap on the PS4 even first party don't look good at all.

Same thing applies to PS4 too. It has a spec advantage (on paper at least) but none of its launch games are impressive yet. One of the most visually impressive game "The Order" is not going to be 1080p HD and it is not even a launch game.

The simple answer for both console is we don't know how they will look 2-5 years down the line.

When did I mention the PS4?

It's fun watching people pretending to know what the're talking about.  I trust the engineer more than what people say - wait for the games and they'll be the true test/comparison.

Yes, well, why listen to the guys that built the system when you can just make up your own facts ;)

My bad, confused two posts on the first page. Ended up quoting you while I meant to reply to someone else.

Yes why not just listen to the guys who built it and want your money rather than independant reviews and information.

They're engineers and software developers and they're proud of their system. I know because I work for a software company and we hear disinformation all the time. As individuals, we don't correct it because we want money, we correct it because we spend a ton of time creating and want the facts out there. Not a hard concept unless you're just a fanboy who doesn't care.

Microsoft designed a beautiful console yet again, now their 3rd time, its clear they know what they are doing. Being a software-orientated company it stands to reason they can make weaker hardware do better things, look at the iPad or iPhone. Massivly underrated hardware-side but the best software experience.

Their competition is mainly Sony who is a hardware-pig. Beautiful TVs and minidisc players but rough software. Take their last gen console the PS3. took like 3 years to get sorted to where the 360 launched... Vita? It has like 3 games - the rest being PS3 ports... Sony makes incredible hardware and relies on the raw numbers to push sales rather than the overall experience.

IMO Microsofts single flaw with the xbone reveal, was immediately pointing out the 'changes' in their system without detailing why they were doing so. change without valid reason has always ruined PR. MS did have reasons but didn't divulge them until they reversed their policies, now making the XBone a very weak player without an internet connection. They single-handedly ruined a lot of xbone potential months before it even hit the shelves. I have little doubt that the Xbone's experience will be great from the start as long as you are gaming online - where Sonys will be very rocky.
