TAZMINATOR
I don't care about the sensors ... I use phone for daily usages such as text, email, web, etc.
Hardcore Til I Die
I don't care about the sensors ... I use phone for daily usages such as text, email, web, etc. Doesn't really affect me either, but I'd rather they were accurate! I do play games but none that are dependant on the sensor. Saying the 5s is fine because you don't use those features is a cop out. Apple set their own "high quality" standard. It is up to them to stand by it or face a critical response and bad pr. Bryan R.
Who really uses their phone as a level? A couple of things: 1. Plenty of people. 2. That's besides the point 3. There's more purpose behind the sensors than just a level app. psmoked 1 Share
McKay
It's usually the initial Phone that has these issues, and the "S" variety fixes them. Apple mixing it up :D

I understand that... I noticed that Apple added health features in iOS 7 which the sensors can be used for... that I don't use...

I haven't met one out of everyone that I know who owns an iPhone. If I'm going to hang something, I'll use a real lever. 2. What's the point then? 3. Like that? Do you play a racing game flat on the table?
neufuse Veteran Posted October 5, 2013 Veteran Share Posted October 5, 2013 The first time I ever see a professional using an iPhone as a leveling tool, they are fired immediately.... I only say that because I've seen DIY shows saying user your phone as a level.... Atomic Wanderer Chicken 1 Share

DocM
You'd be shocked at how many newbie hunters, hikers, etc. I've encountered who were using their f'ing iPhone for orienteering instead of a dedicated GPS and/or compass/map. I can just imagine one getting too deep in the woods and having their battery die just before they become bear or cougar food. Bears and cougars have to heat to you know... Anyway, hopefully it is a software issue. If it is hardware, they will just start giving out free bumpers again
Raa
Another series another problem... For the price they ask, you'd think their QA department would be a bit better. :/ Atomic Wanderer Chicken 1 Share
neuroticdave
The S4 is no better. I work for Verizon, and I have yet to see one single S4 go out of my door with a fully functional motion sensor on it. The same goes for the eye tracking junk. It is flawed to the max, and the only reason why it isn't a big deal, is that most seldom use those features and even those that did heavily use them initially, no longer do. Atomic Wanderer Chicken
I am going to guess that iOS 7 is at fault for maybe not reading the gyroscope correctly.
