Does anyone know a permanent way to turn off HTML5 videos on YouTube? Every third video I watch or so insists on being in HTML5.
I'm not enrolled in the trial and have no desire to watch YT videos in HTML5 (Fullscreen is broken, video playback is generally terrible, sound often out of sync and I can't preload an entire video to watch later)
I have specifically un-enrolled from the trial (after joining it first), and this doesn't work. Incognito mode does nothing. Being logged in and logged out does nothing. I'm using chrome with experimental media extensions turned off (but nothing happens when I turn it on either). IE, FF and other browsers never play back HTML5 video from YouTube, but I don't want to switch browsers just for one broken website.
