Isn't Trojan Elop still CEO?

 no.

Personally, I firmly believe that the high end Lumia hardware would have kicked Samsung's arse if Noikia had released an Android model.

didn't work out for HTC One, did it?

Where are those benchmarks?

There's no "difference" though: Nokia is pushing with the cheapest stuff they can release, which is what they said would happened if they had gone with Android.

Have you used a 520? It ###### all over Android.

UI performance and responsiveness. It matches performance wise to high end Androids, that's something for a $100 phone, eh?

So it matches performance at moving the OS UI around?

not a big surprise to many i am sure however, at least they are officially calling it dead even though they have not been maintained for a while.

at using the phone.

calling, messages, photo, calendar, mail, viewing images, music,  you know the stuff you actually do on a phone.

regular simple games play the same.

My wife's three years old Nexus S does all that smooth and fast too, and doesn't even have a dual-core CPU.

well, it "does" it anyway. as long as you don't compare it to a 520 side by side and realize how bad it actually it.
