Big mix.. some 8, some 7, and one dinosaur tablet with XP, plus a couple in the other/non-Windows category (a couple of Windows servers, along with a hackintosh and one or two Linux desktops but they don't get used much).  This one I'm on now is 7, voted that.

Windows 8 on my Mac Pro

Windows 7* on my Retina Macbook Pro

* The only reason I put Windows 7 on there was because Fraps + Windows 8 + Minecraft do not work well together.  I put Windows 7 on my laptop for recording Minecraft gameplay, but I decided to get dxtory instead and it runs fine on Windows 8.  So basically, I will eventually upgrade to Windows 8 on my laptop :)

I have 7 on all my PCs.  Tried 8 for a few months, and didn't care for it, so I won't be upgrading unless I'm forced to.

Android 4.3 on my Nexus 7, ios7 on the iPad Windows 8.1 RT preview on Surface, wp7 on Lumia 800 and wp8 on Lumia 1020.

8.1 on five machines @ home and about ten systems at work.  Pretty happy with it really.

We keep some 7 boxes around for testing but nobody with 8.1 wants to go back.

Windows 7 after doing a PhD in migration from XP for many painful years after which almost all issues were solved with great difficulty and third party alternatives except for the forced auto sorting issue in Explorer. Still have XP on at least one machine with no intention of ever giving on it (some specific needs such as old games which can't be virtualized).

Windows 8/8.1 too for Classic Shell development and fixing lots of unbearable s**t.

I'm using W7 Ultimate and have no intentions of changing. Looking forward to what MS brings to the table after W8.

Nobody using Longhorn, what ?  And I see a lone wolf out there still running with that bloated Vista.

Windows 7 currently.  Was running Vista SP2 all the way until a few months ago.  Not a fan of Windows 8 but not a hater for it either.  Maybe that will change in the future, who knows?

I am using Windows 8 on my main gaming PC.  I got it for $40 during the promotion, and I'm assuming that in true Microsoft fashion they will be making exclusive games and software for the OS, so might as well at least keep one PC current...  My secondary PC, file server, and Windows-Based laptop are all running Windows 7 64bit however...  (And then there is my MacBook running OSX 10.8.5...)

You can, but'll need to reinstall all of your apps (desktop apps too).
