Microsoft Store offers exclusive Killer Instinct Pin Ultimate Edition for Xbox One
by John Callaham

If you have been looking forward to playing the revival of the Killer Instinct fighting game franchise for Microsoft's Xbox One console, you might want to consider checking out a newly announced special retail disc version of the game that's only being sold from the Microsoft Store website and in its retail stores.

The website has the details on what's being called the Killer Instinct Pin Ultimate Edition. The game, which will ship on November 29th, one week after the launch of the Xbox One, will contain all eight characters from "Season 1" along with early access to the Season One extra DLC content, which includes eight new costumes and 16 accessory packs, along with the original Killer Instinct game.

In addition, the Killer Instinct Pin Ultimate Edition will include the first two pins in a planned release of 16 collectible pins featuring characters and artwork from the game. The pins will be designed by the Penny Arcade web comic strip team. The special edition also comes with a case that's designed to hold all 16 pins. In a post on the Penny Arcade website, it says that information on how to get the other 14 pins will be announced soon.

Should have called it the nickel and dime edition.

EDIT: They are just on-screen "pins", right?

MS and their naming conventions again, as if anybody would not say penultimate, giving consumers the "worst" deal in their minds...anyway I'm getting the Ultra one.
