In space shuttle Endeavour's flight deck, where the commander and pilot would sit, there are more than 2,000 switches, dials and buttons cover the walls and ceiling. Spare surfaces are covered with Velcro, where astronauts would stick anything

If you look at the top back between the bay windows, you'll see glass with a cross on it, that's where the flux capacitor was :shiftyninja:

The ship is on remote control, the buttons do nothing. It's so the commander can feel important. ;)

And the coming US spacecraft; Sierra Nevada Dream Chaser, SpaceX DragonRider, Boeing CST-100 and NASA MPCV (Orion), will all have mostly glass cockpits and be able to fly autonomously - crewed or not.

Looks overly complicated, they could clean this up with a few touchscreens and Windows 8 Shuttle Edition.

Thats because the Canadian Space Agency makes a lot of the equipment that is used in the shuttles and the International Space Station.
