Obamacare opposers purposely making healthcare.org inaccessible?

Recommended Posts

I had a theory that the congress and other people who oppose obamacare aka The Affordable Care Act are purposely making it inaccessible by perhaps sending in a significant amount of traffic to the site. It sounds plausible given how much effort the obamacare opposes are putting in to stop the law or to delay it or also to undermine it. What do you think?

Clarification:

Healthcare.org is accessible but signing up is difficult to impossible and there has been a significant amount of reporting on this.

If there was evidence of a denial of service attack on the website then I would have thought the US government would be keen to point that out.

There has been a significant amount of reporting that people aren't able to sign up because its being supposedly overloaded. Obamacare opposers sending dns attacks is just my conspiracy theory (why this is in conspiracy section)

I haven't read anything that would indicate this, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.

I don't think I've ever seen a political party have so little respect for the president as the GOP has right now for Obama. It's sad to see them act like little children that didn't get their way and now feel like they should throw a tantrum.

So yeah, it wouldn't surprise me that the GOP is doing everything they can to make it hard for people to sign up for ACA

This is the best example of FUD I've ever seen .... You get this crazy a$$ed idea with no proof and try to pass this off as a plausible idea.. really??

Why dont you take this garbage to 4chan, it'll fit right in..

Is there proof that obamacare opposers are not causing the problems on healthcare.org? From what I have seen, it might be very possible. The affordable care act opposers are determined to take the law down at all costs. I would think they would want the obamacare act to look flawed in the beginning to prove a point. The Ted Cruz guy is like the ring leader of this 'take down obamacare' group.

What do you mean? Is there proof of something that hasn't happened? I'd have to say no. Where are *you* exactly having an issue with healthcare.gov? If it's after you select your state it may be your state's exchange site that has an issue.

I already have health insurance, but healthcare.gov has been widely reported with problems and glitches from a vast amount news sources

This needs to be moved to Conspiracy, or to the Joke forum'...

If you look, this is in the conspiracy section, the conspiracy section is more appropriate, because this no joke. There's no proof if the GOP people are intentionally causing the problems or are not, which is why this is a conspiracy

Most big MMO game's have the same issue at launch, glitches, server load issues, etc not worked out even with best of planning / beta testing.

With Government, you have to add in the bidding process that at times won't allow you to go with the best contractor for the job.

To determine, the area responsible for the IT security of the site / networks would have to analyze what's going on to determine if there subject to effective DNS attacks, etc.

Though my wife and I already have coverage, I went to the healthcare.gov site and found out my state does not have an exchange.  No surprise really as it is governed by Republicans, mostly moderate, with a good sprinkling of Democrats to keep them honest.  :)

It could be the Koch brothers, minions of Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck fanatics.  Maybe Fox has recruited Anonymous.  Perhaps Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Michelle Malkin have formed an unholy trinity to bring the site down.   /s

You never know, stranger things have happened in this world.    :shifty:

I think the only issue is with the actual site... they contracted to a company that failed to get it running after years and millions of dollars...

There is no need to hack, or spam the site as sign-up was DOA on arrival.

For the past two day I have seen problems loading lots websites from multiple locations I have been at in NY. Not sure what's going on. Last night I could not get Youtube to work from Verizon FIOS or though my cell service.
