Apparently you can't update to windows 8.1 if your users folder or program files folder is on "another partition."
When I installed windows 8 about 2 weeks ago on my new build, I have an answer file for sys prep that moved all Users to my RAID 0. My SSD is OS ONLY. The reason I did this is I'm writing a lot of stuff to my user folder, so I didn't want that writing to the SSD constantly AND my SSD is not big enough to store my user folder on even a good day. So my 2tb RAID 0 is my home for everything.
Now I know other people do this, and I hope someone on this forum has done this with there windows 8 installation and is updating today to 8.1 and hopefully has some insight on this problem. With Windows 7, I never had this issue.
I can temporarily move my user folder back to Program Files but I don't know how thats going to act.
Thanks for any help guys,
