They're both 2.5", but will the PS allow it?

it really shouldn't know the difference, they all respond to the same ATA commands... SSD does give you a few more commands, but unless they have a custom firmware on the drives (sony that is) I don't know how it would care

Cool, not much effort at all. I doubt I'll be using an SSD though just due to the cost and the space I would want in order to store all of my games on it, but I'll definitely be using a larger drive.

Unless someone finds out that an ssd provides a dramatically better experience, then I might reconsider. I would be ok with using an SSD in combo with an external that held all of my games, then just move the games over that I'm playing at the time. I'm not sure that's an option thought since the PS4 doesn't support playing games from one.

That screw is just silly to the max. They spared no expense! lol

Its both cool and completely over the top, but I like it.
