Accuweather updated for Windows 8.1

Recommended Posts

It brings new updated UI and the "Large" live tile size. I believe this is the first app with this tile size apart from the build in ones. BTW, the Large tile looks really beautiful.

Huh?

It looks like it has been removed from the Windows 8.1 store. The app is still live and accessible from the web, but when I click to go to the store, it tells me "Sorry, this app isn't available for your PC". But I have it installed.

Can anyone with Windows 8.1 confirm it has been removed from the 8.1 store?

I have Windows 8.1 Pro.

For some reason, I can't post any link or attach any image to this forum. :(

I'm using IE11.

You capture your application screen and upload it in your comment textarea that has upload/attach button (in the 'more reply options' button that you see in the lower right hand corner.)

I tried that, but the page freezes on IE11.

Only apps that came in the store up were Vieather, Cinewsnow and the weather channel

This confirms it has been pulled or at least hidden from the store. You can access it via web, though.

I know that ... You use any one of the browsers (Firefox, Chrome, etc.). for uploading pics...

The person clearly stated that he was using IE11. He wasn't asking for a tutorial, I believe. I think he was wondering why it was not working (not knowing there is a bug). This is why I notified you that it doesn't work in IE11.

How is it that NeoWIN doesn't support Internet Explorer. I mean...COMEON!

Steve Parker (@neobond) I am looking at you. :p

Huh? They spent weeks getting the site to work with ie10, then there were the new server issues, doesn't 11 have a compatibility mode?

I was asking him for the screenshot in the first place... and he was confused then the thread went on afterwards.

I didn't know about Neowin's bug on IE11, and it's a little silly, isn't it?

Anyways, here's the screenshot.

Tile shot is good. I wonder what it looks like when you open it up.

The app was buggy on Windows 8 because of bad animation in it.  It could be video card issue or bad animation... who knows. I hope they approve for 8.1 ... I guess they haven't fixed it yet.

I was on Windows 8 but not anymore. I am back to Windows 7.
