My first one was a tower that literally had the brand "Poor Man's PC" on it, or maybe it was Poormans or something, and it ran DOS.  I was 5 or 6 and figured out how to make DOS menus so I could create shortcuts to games I had like King's Quest, Space Quest, and Mixed Up Mother Goose.  Also had the DOS version of Microsoft Works.  It had something like 8 MB of RAM and a black and white monitor.  Later upgraded it to 16 MB of RAM and Windows 3.1.  Then got a really old Dell computer that had Windows 95 on it, and actually had a color monitor.

386sx. bought from I believe Computer Shopper. 25mhz on turbo, and I think 15 or so normal. Something like that. Later upgraded to a Pentium 1.2ghz and a 1gb hard drive.

80mb hard drive double spaced
2400 baud modem, 9600 baud, and lastly....56k
Installed a CDROM and 8bit Soundblaster
Dont remember how much memory. Maybe 8 or 16 mb. Been a while. Windows 3.1, later installed 3.11. DOS 5 something and upgraded to 6.22.

1998, a late comer back then.

Had a Pentium 3 slot CPU running at around 500MHz.  has a whopping 128MB RAM which I upgraded to 512MB.

Originally started with Windows 98 (not SE), so it was hell, and we switched back to Windows 95 until SE came out.

This was the beginning of a long love story ..  now with Windows :)

My first personal one was a Tandy CoCo3
