game_over Posted October 24, 2013 Share Posted October 24, 2013 So i've updated to Mavericks with a clean install and backed up my font folder before hand by selecting my User folder within Font Book and clicking on Export collection. In Mavericks i opened font book and dragged my user folder into it... It seems like it was a mistake doing that.. instead of creating a new User collection it's added them all to the main All Fonts collection and it's throwing up lots of errors about duplicates. I've tried manually fixing errors and automatically fixing errors but it's not doing anything. A lot of the fonts have off next to them for some reason, i also tried the 'restore standard fonts' button but doesn't seem to do anything either. Is there a way i can remove all the user fonts i dragged into Font Book? so i can start fresh, or will i need to do it manually by going down the list? And while i'm on it, can anyone vouch for any better font managers for OSX? this one is rather slow and unintuitive layout. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Edit: Ahh, "restore system fonts" actually removes all user fonts (for some reason), is if you're only seeing the "All Users" collection and none of your fonts, that's why. I can see my fonts 'restore system fonts' isn't removing them, they are all under 'All fonts', there is no user collection... it's as if the fonts i've added are being recognised as standard fonts. game_over Posted October 24, 2013 Author Share Posted October 24, 2013 When i run photoshop it shows the error: "Selected font failed during last operation. If Problem persists, please disable the font." The font in question doesn't even show up in the list and when i try to install it, it says it's a duplicate.
