Crew steals 6,400 cans of baked beans from truck while driver sleeps

Cops in Britain are on the hunt for a crew of thieves who snatched a massive load of baked beans from a truck while the driver slept.

The legume-mad crew made off with 6,400 cans of Heinz baked beans and sausages after cutting a hole in a white Scania truck as it was parked on the side of a road in Cookhill, Worcestershire, The Mirror reported.

Cops said the thieves struck sometime between 8:45 p.m. Monday and 5:30 a.m. Tuesday and managed to remove two giant pallets without disturbing the driver, who was snoozing in the front seat.

West Mercia Police asked the public to be on the lookout for anyone trying to move a massive amount of baked beans on the black market.

?Police are appealing for information, especially about anyone trying to sell large quantities of Heinz baked beans in suspicious circumstances," a spokesman said.
