Quite a lot of people like the app, and unless they have some proprietary technology that could compromise their currently supported software, I don't see why not ... (Oh, and Panic, come on! mr_han_solo Posted October 25, 2013 Share Posted October 25, 2013 I changed all of my icons to a more ios7 feel this morning. Just find the icon you want, hit get info then Command + C. Right click on the app you are wanting to change the icon on, go to get info and click on the icon in the top left corner of the get info box. It should have a blue glow to show that it is highlighted. Command + V and volia, Icon changed. Now I will be honest, it did take me over an hour to change all of my icons. I was able to change, trash, calendar, and the finder icon as well. Those three take a little more time ,but are fairly straightforward as well. wilco Posted November 6, 2013 Share Posted November 6, 2013 To get CandyBar working in Mavericks: Go into a terminal and enter this command: sudo nano /System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist Then change the two entries denoting the Mavericks version number ?10.9? to ?10.8? and save the file. Now open CandyBar and change your icons. Make sure you change those values back once you?re finished to avoid future problems. Rinse/repeat next time you want to run CandyBar again. The only thing preventing CandyBar from working in Mavericks is this version check. It is currently in Beta, but worked for me. you can find it here: http://alternativeto.net/software/liteicon/ (Look at the top when the page loads). In regards to changing each icon individually as mr_han_solo recommends -- this is of little use when you have certain system folders or drives that won't allow you to change their icon. For example, I have a bootcamp partition with Windows XP on it. Under OS 10.9 (and previous) the hard drive icon is the ugly barebones one. You can't change the icon no matter how many times you paste a new one on it. CandyBar was the perfect remedy. Now... apparently we are not left in the dark. I was very pleased to find LiteIcon.
