Sir Topham Hatt
Sounds a silly question but I might give my HTC 8X the heave ho and grab a Nokia 920 instead. I did originally have one but decided it wasn't worth the ?450 I paid at the time. I have no reason to swap just that the 920 is a lot more phone and if I get about ?100 for my 8X (which seems likely), then that's a third of the cost for a brand new 920, which is reasonable. However I have purchased a few apps and grabbed some of the Angry Birds when they were free. If I loaded my account onto a new Windows Phone, will it automatically download the apps I had and install them? Does my Windows account know what apps I have downloaded and installed? ]SK[
Your purchases will be bound to your account yes. Sir Topham Hatt 1 Share
The Evil Overlord
as an uneducated guess I would say yes, if the app is account bound and not device bound (Ie, a book bought on amazon can be downloaded to all devices attached to the account)
Boolanger
Yes they get bound to your account but will not auto download unless you do a "restore from backup" on inital setup. You can go to the web store and do push install on the app which is the easyiest way. When you visit purchased apps in the app store it will not show that they have been purchased, but when you select buy they will say they have already been paid or something of that nature and then you can download them. know if HTC has any exclusive app that are paid I'm not sure how those will work as you may not be able to download thwem to your Nokia device. Sir Topham Hatt
Yeah, it's a shame you can't delete apps you don't want anymore to keep things tidy.

winrez
There are certain apps that are Nokia only (I'm sure this will change with MS purchasing Nokia) I have 2 Focuses 1 With a Nokia rom the other OEM on the OEM you get notified that the app doesn't meet the requirements of the phone. (this affects a few games that will list Nokia as the publisher)
