USB to RJ11 (phone) adatper

Has anyone ever used one of those adapters to connect a home (landline) telephone to a PC to use with Skype? Im looking at a few on eBay that use USB but Im skepical about how well they work.

 

There's also one called ConnectMe that plugs into the router instead and syncs with Skype.

 

I'd like to be able to dial and receive Skype calls via my old desk phone, and was wondering if anyone here has ever used these devices.

IIRC, those were made to replace the PCI Modem cards. I do not think they were made for that purpose. Could be wrong, though.  :huh:
