DriveClub running at 30fps @ 1080p

X1 is doing 1080p60 though.  See Forza.  The 50% thing is nonsense.

 

The 50% relates to the graphics card difference, not overall system

 

XBOX ONE GPU:
 
1.18 TF GPU (12 CUs) for games
 
768 Shaders
 
48 Texture units
 
16 ROPS
 
2 ACE/ 16 queues
 
PLAYSTATION 4 GPU:
 
1.84TF GPU (18 CUs) for games + 56%
 
1152 Shaders +50%
 
72 Texture units +50%
 
32 ROPS + 100%
 
8 ACE/64 queues +300%

 

 

Before anyone moans, go check how graphics cards are compared for the PC in the hardware hangout.

I doubt it. if PS4 can't do 1080p60 easily now then XB1 will never be able to. It won't be able to gain 50%

performance.

Are we back to arguing console vs console specs?  You guys needs to come up with a new trick, these cycles of arguments are getting old.  They always get old.

 

So we went from arguing about how badly the ps4 destroys the x1, to how much the pc destroys consoles, back to the ps4 destroying the x1. Offense, defense, etc, etc. 

 

1st of all, this is a thread about Drive Club

 

2nd of all, these arguments are the same old crap, the only thing that changes is the name of the devices and the people on either side. 

 

So yeah, maybe its time to move on from these points in this thread.

Call of Duty has never bin a game that pushes the boundaries of gfx tbh i ran Black Ops2 really easily on a 1GB 6870 at max settings 1080 whereas BF3 struggled in some areas sometimes even crippling the fps to 4 fps so if CoD doesnt play on the PS4 at 1080p then it sucks hard, although ill have to see how it performs on my PC first to see if theyve bothered to do much with the game engine to make it better. Obviously itll be better graphically than black ops 2 but depends by how much. With Killzone i bet itll be using alot of dynamic resolution scaling to achieve 60 fps at 1080p. so like the area your in fighting will be crisp but back ground scenery will prolly to get lowered in resolution to push the frames up

We'll overall it's good they got Drive Club, stable at 1080/30. Considering they got some time till release date, maybe they can get to 60fps. Who knows...

I'm not into racers that much. But I do hold a place in my heart for Burnout Paradise...

I'm not sure why you guys are so upset that launch day titles and launch window titles won't be 1080p 60fps. The consoles aren't as powerful as you guys are making out, they are using ~1.8ghz lower power cpu cores. Your desktop cpu cores are probably 3ghz+ and are way more powerful per clock than these. They chose low power cores for cost reasons as well as heat reasons which would require a bit heatsink and a noisy fan. Just give the developers 1yr after launch day to make all new games 1080p 60fps. Devkits are often buggy and unoptimised, these things take time. I'm sure in 18 months that all games released from then on will be 1080p 60fps, the hardware is very nice.

I didn't know the PC was only capable of Quake 1 graphics at 1080p and 60 FPS.

See, that's the problem: my PC is capable of better graphics despite being older than the new Xbox or PlayStation. If I wanted subpar graphics I'd play the Wii U. There's a reason I'm getting Watch_Dogs for the PC and not my Wii U, etc.

Did you ignore or somehow miss the point ?
