My First attempt at Choclate covered Coffee beans!

Recommended Posts

I didn't really look up how to make them, I figured it couldn't be that hard. Just dump chocolate over coffee beans. I did both white and dark chocolate.

The Final Product.

The White chocolate is sooooooooooo good!

I will say that 10 / 20 mins after eating them you do definitely feel funny!

There are a lot of acids in coffee (beans), so it can be harmful if you eat a lot of the beans at once.  I think it's something like 20 beans per cup of coffee, so eating two or three times that probably isn't the smartest thing to do.

Coffee does have a ton of health benefits though if ingested in moderation (key word).

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I have purchased and eaten chocolate-covered beans.  On more than one occasion I've eaten a whole bag (hundreds of them) by myself in a single sitting.  Can't say I even remember having the slightest discomfort.

That's because you are a pro. If I eat more than 5 beans I feel strange! Plus maybe the ones in the bag are lower caffeine as in not to kill u when you eat the entire bag!

You're suggesting an actual coffee bean might contain less caffeine than the beans used in coffee?  M'kay.  Could be.  I just eat whatever comes my way, I don't read the labels.  :-)

I rarely find anything that bothers my stomach.

They could have been decaffeinated, but they would still contain all the acids.  Eating lots of them regularly would probably rear some bad effects.
