Japan's under-40s appear to be losing interest in conventional relationships. Millions aren't even dating, and increasing numbers can't be bothered with sex. For their government, "celibacy syndrome" is part of a looming national catastrophe. Japan already has one of the world's lowest birth rates. Its population of 126 million, which has been shrinking for the past decade, is projected to plunge a further one-third by 2060. Aoyama believes the country is experiencing "a flight from human intimacy" ? and it's partly the government's fault.

I've always have had a think for Asian women but if they aren't interested in sex I may have to re-think my position.

 

 

Not all asian chicks, just a lot of the Japanese ones, apparently. As far as I know the Chinese, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Malaysian, Singaporean, etc. women all dig sex like everyone else.  :woot:

Two world wars, a nuclear bomb strike, occupation by the victor, imposition of different values - all had a demoralizing effect on the population.

 

It's what happens when a nation's essence is pulled out, when its historic ties with the tradition are cut, when a notion of community is lost, and all is replaced with foreign individual-centric values.

Two world wars, a nuclear bomb strike, occupation by the victor, imposition of different values - all had a demoralizing effect on the population.

 

It's what happens when a nation's essence is pulled out, when its historic ties with the tradition are cut, when a notion of community is lost, and all is replaced with foreign individual-centric values.

Despite the loss Japan did recover very quickly and are still 3rd economic power in the world. It had a steady population growth until year 2000. This said I think the causes for it's reduction are rather due to it's current government.

I wouldn't quite go that far, but I would agree to think maybe their adult industry might have some influence, they cater to the less intimate and more towards rape on buses etc...

I've always thought if people watched enough of that, they would get turned off sexual intimacy.
