For some reason The Witcher series developers decided that it was necessary to confirm that the next title in the series on the PC would have no digital rights management software in it. In an open letter to the community, CD Projekt Red CEO Marcin Iwinski addressed apparent concerns within the community that the PC version of its upcoming action role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt would contain some form of DRM. Perhaps some of that concern is over recent news that Namco Bandai would be publishing the game in Europe, but we're not really sure.

"I'd like to say it loud and clear: The PC version of The Witcher 3 will have absolutely no DRM from day 0. Zero. Zip. Nada," Iwinski said. "It doesn't matter if you choose to buy it on GOG.com and support us directly or buy the game in box format, you'll still get the 100% DRM-free experience. And this goes for the whole world."

So there you are; if you were worried about the PC version somehow containing DRM, then you no longer need to worry about it. It would be pretty hypocritical at this point for the developers to include DRM when its sister company GOG.com likes to publicly criticize other companies (Humble Bundle, for example) for offering products that are not DRM-free...

This is how you win customers, by offering a great game with no DRM. I'm buying this as soon as I get a new gaming PC.
