Personally, I'm notified via mobile as well, I'm sure I'm not the only one.

And what if the member has their PMs disabled?

You're grasping at straws, now. As far as I know the user cannot disable their PMs, and even if they could that would be their issue, wouldn't it? If they want to edit something, they should contact a member of staff.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I appreciate the suggestions that members make. But we need to see how much of a benefit something could be, as well as how abused it can be, and in this situation we already have a plan in place for if such an issue arises.

So someone disables their messenger because they don't want to contact people or be contacted, then they are annoyed when they can't contact a member of staff? I see a button there that allows them to enable the messenger again. It is a situation that they put themselves in to, I'm not sure why we should put in a workaround for them when they have the ability to solve the issue themselves. :/

Ok so, enable PM's long enough to message a Moderator....done and done.

I doubt the OP will re-enable it just so they PM a mod to edit a topic as they disabled for a reason. Also this was merely a suggestion so there's no pressure to add it, but it would be nice to have.

It isn't that simple for some members, unfortunately.

It is that simple. If they don't want to take the time to correct something that they have disabled, I don't see why we should put a workaround in place for them.

Anyway, we've had several staff members echo the same sentiments, as well as the higher-ups. This isn't happening.
