Parents jailed after allegedly confronting bus bullies

Recommended Posts

"It was like scary," said a terrified 8-year old named Katherine. She tells how she and other children were confronted, they say, by angry parents who barged onto their school bus.

"I was crying because I was worried and I was like I don't know what happened. I didn't do anything," she said.

The parents are Christina and Christopher Gring. They're charged with unlawfully entering a school bus, threatening children and other misdemeanors.

Kids who were on the bus say last week the Gring's son who goes to North Wales elementary school with them, got off on Elm Avenue and told his parents he was being picked on.

"He was crying when he came off the bus and nobody knows why. Then they started yelling curse words at us and yelling to tell them what happened," said Katherine.

"In conducting a follow-up internal investigation of the incident, North Penn School District found no reports of bullying of the accused couple's child. Under no circumstances does NPSD ever want a parent boarding a bus or taking matters into their own hands."

Thursday evening Montgomery County Correction Facility officials said Christina Gring was being discharged this evening. Christopher Gring was still being held on $10,000 bail. They've both been charged with unlawfully entering a school bus, threatening children and other misdemeanors. School officials stress that parents should let them know about bullying and not take matters into their own hands.

Yup, unfortunately, this is why the little feral ba*tards get away with murder these days

Parenting died when social services decided we can't punish via smacking anymore.

parents did the right thing.

Standing up for your child is one thing.

"Unlawfully entering a school bus" is another...

(N)

Imagine that your child is a neutral 3rd party on that bus. I wouldn't be too pleased to hear two adults unlawfully boarded the bus that contained my child...

There were several other scenarios were this could have played out better. This was certainly a jailable offense.

No bus camera ?

Not all uk schoolbuses have em. Some are just contractors with small vans that were fitted oit with seats and belts.

(Transit Minibus for a google reference) :)

they traumatized innocent kids that were not involved with the alleged bullying... that's is why there are laws against it.

Traumatized?  They'd have to be awfully sensitive to be traumatized by an angry adult, and maybe the little ###### will stop bullying one another.  Ya know what's traumatizing?  Figuring out at 7 years old you're gonna have to use your lunchbox as a weapon to defend yourself against a high school bully because you realize that, out of a fear of retribution and political correctness, the bus driver / monitor won't intervene.  I may have busted a lunchbox over his head, but he figured out real quick that I wouldn't put up with his ######.  If my parents had found out about it, they would have beat the dog ###### out of him, if they hadn't shot him.

I think more parents ought to take an active role in their kids lives and do things like this, because it's pretty obvious the bus driver wasn't doing jack about it.

some stranger coming on and yelling at all the kids with profanity would scare the heck out of any young child. You are also assuming this bullying took place which no one seems to have witnessed nor can say it did happen. I am betting the kid made it up.

Pot meet kettle.

If everyone are like you, I'm guessing we have to arm the kids, too. "if they hadn't shot him"...lol give me a break.

Of course no one stood up and say they witnessed it. They don't want to or are to scared to get involved. Maybe they would start to get bullied as well.

It annoys the heck out me when someone darts straight for the "he made it up" conclusion.

i am not here to cater to  what does or doesn't annoy you. Kids are kids and they make stuff up daily. I was a kid. I had lots of kid freinds. I have kids. I have lots of freinds with kids. This is what they do. You must dig through the made up stuff (good and bad) to get to the truth (good and bad).
