Noig
Hi All I wonder if there is an option to have a bootable usb windows 8 as a ready to go( with the latest) backup with programs installed similar to Superduper in OS X? It would be a fast option to start in case of system failure. Just get a new machine and while you prepare it you can be 'live' with emails and basic word processing and any other stuff you have installed. I just had a system failure and it took quite some time to get ready and was a pain. No problems with any documents, just the OS. Thanks :)

timster
TPreston, thanks Can I do that with the installed OS with basic programs installed? for Windows To Go, you'll need a copy of Windows 8 (or 8.1) Enterprise, or follow this if you don't have Windows 8.1 Enterprise installed https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1134268-tutorialwindows-8-to-go-without-enterprise-edition/
TPreston
Yeah you have to install the programs afterwards when you boot from it as usual (unless you want to deploy a suspreped image which is overkill for 1 key)
Noig
Guys& Ladies :) Thanks for your prompt replies. It does look like the best option I would've liked(which is like superduper in os x) is not going to happen with Windows versions of any kind. So I'll have to be happy with either image backup or WTG. Regards
