compl3x
Super Mario Bros. 3 is coming to Wii U and 3DS in the not too distant future, it seems. Nintendo's official website and digital storefronts peg the acclaimed platformer for an unspecified future release date. While unquestionably ambiguous, the very presence of the listings indicates the retro classic will likely make the leap to current generation hardware fairly soon. Lord Method Man
Why is it taking them a coon's age to re-release all these VC titles on the Wii U? Its been out for a year and there's only around 2 dozen titles available.
seta-san
if it's just another emulator release they can keep it. i'd like to see it remade with modern graphics/sound

I'll never forgot the first time I ran Super Mario world on an emulator. At the time I had to use frame skipping to get any sort of good frame rate and even then the frame rate blew chunks, but I was still amazed. Not that it matters, I keep my Wii hooked up in the event I need to play any nes, snes, genesis games anyway
LittleNeutrino Veteran Posted November 6, 2013 Veteran Share Posted November 6, 2013 too bad if you bought it for the original Wii its not just tied to your account so you dont have to rebuy this crap for every system you own.

strotee
Been using my WiiU as my "retro" console, so this will be a nice addition.
Lord Method Man
You're aware that they actually make new Mario sidescrollers? Better they spend time and resources on all new games like NSMBU than remaking a game that's fine as it is.
Aergan
It already has been remade with better graphics and sound. :) Is that Super Mario All Stars on the left?

LimeMaster
So yeah, there's no point on remaking the game again as it's good the way it is. :)

You need to check out Nestopia:Undead edition for NES :) http://0ldsk00l.ca/nestopia.html And BSNES/Higan for SNES: http://byuu.org/ You need a PC with some azz to run BSNES. Shadrack
Dear Nintendo, Please make a new **2D** Metroid (not that "prime" generic 3d FPS B.S.) for either the 3DS or the Wii U and I'll buy just to play. Thanks. +Warwagon 1 Share
