Slatan
I've had some time to think about this, and I *might* know why IE11 isn't filtered in Ad Muncher. Of course, I don't have Ad Muncher so I can't test this. In Internet Explorer 11 go to Internet options > Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Security section and uncheck Enabled Protected Mode, then restart IE11 and see if filtering is working then. Nope. Didn't work - I just tested it. Good idea, though. I've seen Enhanced Protected Mode break some other things.
Anibal P
Excuse me here but, seems odd how IE11 is having so many issues. coincidence? I'm NOT bashing due to it being a "MS" product but, I've seen alot of threads about people wondering just wth is going on with IE11. I know, without a doubt, someone with good IT knowledge here at NEOWIN could give us a straight answer on this. Just be honest... I'd like to know. Seems some people haven't got the hint that IE in all it's incarnations is complete garbage and should never be used, it drives me up a wall having to use it at work
Night Prowler
Comments like this is just garbage, and drives me up a wall. When will people like you learn that everything is by choice. Internet Explorer is out there and a HUGE population of the internet community uses it, and uses it very well. We should be encouraging as many users as Paisley to use a good browser and not settle, once I actually loses significant market share will MS actually try and make it good, maybe
Night Prowler
No, AdMuncher will require new programming to make it compatable with Internet Explorer 11. One of the programmers explained it to me and has stated it will require some special work around for the new security features built into IE11. Apparently Jeff, and Murray needs to hire someone that can get the job done, becuse they certinally don't have the ambition to get it done. If it's so hard then why has AdGuard already got their 'AdMuncher' working with IE11. Too bad these two couldn't get together, would be a great mnarriage. Wapoz
Version 1.0 of adblocker plus for ie works extremely well if you can locate a link for it. Just don't use their latest 1.1 version, it makes ie hang and crash.
Night Prowler
Yes, version 1.1 is what I'm using now on IE11. I'm still using AdMuncher on FF when I use that browser. Version 1.0 of adblocker plus for ie works extremely well if you can locate a link for it. Just don't use their latest 1.1 version, it makes ie hang and crash. cork1958
What about using a HOSTS file or using Fanboy's tracking list for IE? This exactly, although I prefer the Easylist Standard Protection. No extra crap/addons involed! +Red King 1 Share

Supporting Enhanced Protected Mode + Metro IE11 will more than likely require a new driver. Adguard's been supporting IE11 since July and it actually has two drivers - the default WFP driver supports Enhanced Protected Mode and Metro IE but the TDI fallback driver doesn't support Enhanced Protected Mode or Metro IE, but it still works with IE11 if you're not using either feature. leesmithg
Admuncher authors have had enough time to sort out a working software, that works in 8 and with IE11. I emailed them when IE11 went gold and said not working. I asked when is it going to work, seeing as you've had a year to sort it out. Answer I got was 'when it's done'. I check the forums and nothing is really said. I want to use IE11, but some websites (eBay as an example) are so stuffed full of ads and pop-ups it's a complete nightmare to navigate, without a constant lag. Admuncher owners should hurry up and sort this out, seeing as I paid a lot for a lifetime licence.
+Zlip792 MVC Posted January 2, 2014 MVC Share Posted January 2, 2014 You bumped quite old thread but still answering. Do you tried Tracking Protection List, it works for me: http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Browser/TrackingProtectionLists/Default.html or Adblock Plus for Internet Explorer: Homepage: https://adblockplus.org/en/internet-explorer Development-builds: https://adblockplus.org/en/development-builds#installation Obviously I don't expect it to be like wise of Adblock functionality in Firefox and Chrome. TPreston
I thoroughly recommend doing your filtering at the network layer between the clients and wan port. Lots of devices can do http and https filtering (!= https inspection) like cisco routers the advantage of this is you don't need to install any software and it supports everything from windows to windows phone to smart tv and bluray players. with the added bonus of centralising the block list in one location not scattered across devices so you can update it. Kalint
Why is IE11 imperative?
TPreston
Probably not, they'd have to implement their own proxy server and get adguard to filter traffic through it. Perhaps these are the things I have been missing out on doing with my latest installation. Is this filteration possible with <snip /> too? If so, I'll appreciate if you could please help me out.
