+longgonebn Subscriber² Posted November 7, 2013 Subscriber² Share Posted November 7, 2013 So I just loaded up Tomb Raider (the new one) and tried to max it out on 1440p and well it couldn't. I had to turn off the new hair spec, and the AA a bit to get it to playable FPS. I do not want to do this. I have a GTX 770 2GB card right now. What card will allow me to play this at full specs, 1440P at 60FPS or higher? Will the unreleased 780TI do that? What card will allow me to do 1440P triple monitor? I assume only SLI/CROSSOVER will do that?
Roger H. Veteran Posted November 7, 2013 Veteran Share Posted November 7, 2013 Don't even think SLI/Crossover could do a triple 1440p!! That's some serious reso. I'm not a PC gamer but: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7481/the-amd-radeon-r9-290-review/7 Even some of the latest cards only do 70s with older games at your reso and quality. So I doubt you'll get what you are looking for anywhere.
fusi0n
The GTX 780 may be able to do it.. The new ATI R290 offers insane performance really cheap.. but I am not really a ATi Fan.. Do you have the latest drivers installed? Also, you could try to grab another 770 and do an SLI Setup.. Sorry, I didn't read that part of TRIPLE 1440P!! Maybe the ATI R290X or the Titan.. SLI 770s maybe?? With that said, FiB3R and Crisp 2 Share
giantpotato
The 290X can hit ~40fps at 3x 1080p. It would probably struggle at 3x 1440p. http://mygaming.co.za/news/hardware/58861-radeon-r9-290x-benchmarks-give-gtx-titan.html/attachment/amd-radeon-r9-290x-tomb-raider-eyefinity

psionicinversion
the 780 Ti will be extremely powerful card but it will also carry an extreme price probably 600-650 per card but i think youd probably still need 2 of those to run triple 1440p at a decent framerate

+longgonebn Subscriber² Posted November 7, 2013 Author Subscriber² Share Posted November 7, 2013 Thanks guys, The issue is my system is ITX, so only single GPU possible. So, either I game only one one screen, or lower specs for triple. Interesting. Thanks :)
