Text Messaging / Email Do you talk to your phone or do you type?

Personally if i'm by myself I always talk to my phone to send a text message i RARELY type. It's sooo much faster. I just hold down the microphone button here beep, talk it out and hit send.

 

What about the rest of you?

I type into my phone despite it being difficult at times. I talk to type when I am driving, and I mostly do it stopped at traffic lights

In the morning I speak my messages, but once I get to work it is all type since I tend to send raunchy messages during the day and I doubt my co-workers would care to hear what I have to say... or maybe they would.

I always type. Sometimes I'll accidentally hit the Talk key and I'll be like arrgghh wish there was a way to remove this feature! :p

It sort of depends.

90% of the time I type but I have spoken before.  My problem is it's not good enough, I need it to be excellent or I won't bother with it.

It wrote:

Both of my phones have it, shoot have toyed with various services since the 90's, baked into Windows for years, etc etc but never really got into the voice recognition thing. Half the time I wind up having to make corrections anyways. Type. No interest in Siri/Cortana/etc either.

Swype, work in public, would be funny talking to my phone all day, also, I don't have unlimited data voice typing has to go through servers so that's a big no no.

Initially I said "sometimes both" but that was because I misread the question. I thought it was a poll about preferring to text message or email instead of talking over the phone. :laugh:

I have rarely talked to my phone. In public I feel silly and also others can hear what I would be writing, and when I'm alone I don't even think about the fact that I can dictate my messages to the phone to write out. Maybe I'll try using it more when I'm alone, see how accurate it can be.
