camuflage Posted November 9, 2013 Author Share Posted November 9, 2013 No, i can't i've download their software for windows it tells me my id is valid but i don't have icloud.associated account. On icloud website it tells me that i have to configure my account in a idevice before i can use it... so only someone with an idevice can get it, is there any way to bypass it? Components of iCloud activate based on the device(s) and storage is assigned. You can then access these features from Windows. You can have an iCloud account sans an iDevice - you merely have to have an Apple OS installed on something (and yes, "Hacint0shes" and VMs based on same count). I got into the "Hack" community prior to ever using any iDevice - and I still own exactly zero iDevices today. However, my desktop PC triple-boots Windows 8.1 Pro, Windows Server 2012R2, and OS X Mavericks. I originally set up iCloud on the OS X side of things, then, when I added QuickTime and iTunes (required by iCloud for Windows) to Windows 8.1, I used the same account I originally used to register for iCloud (oddly enough, my Outlook.com account from - yeeks - Microsoft) for that. Result - I now have an iCloud storage space on my Windows 8.1 partition.
