It doesn't support AV out at all any more, hence no cables. Only connections are HDMI and optical out.

So it doesn't have that output? (the one that I discovered, from the ps2 still works to scart a ps3)

(This was before I got my hdtv, it's hdmi now)

Ah, we are getting so close.  Nice to see an official unbox from Sony

Talk about outrageous hype.  Its like a trailer for the next Sony Pictures movie!

PS4, coming this fall!

The hype meter in this video is most definitely hitting 11!

That's good, its about time Sony started shipping HDMI cables with the consoles. There isn't any excuse not to upgrade to a flat screen tv because they're the same price as picture tubes were back then.

LWC - I said THAT back during the second term of Bush the Younger - in fact, in 2005 (the first year of that second term).

We have a grand total of two CRTs in use in the house today, and the only reasons they haven't been retired is because neither is a primary TV (one has an HDMI input and is high definition-capable - the other is in a "guest" bedroom).  Both likely WILL be replaced with FPTVs when they finally age to death, as they are also the smallest displays in use (27" and 32").

I would think that game consoles (unless you went Wii) would have driven FP adoption, as even the last two generations in Sony's case (and XB360 in Microsoft's case) supported HDMI-out as standard fare.
