Original Poster Posted November 11, 2013 Share Posted November 11, 2013 I am trying to update my bios, but when i run the file it goes on about being incompatible with a x64 version of windows system.... so I am guessing I have to boot this from a disc or harddrive? I personally like to keep the bios on the latest even if no listed fixes or updates to the bios that might be related to anything I'm doing. That being said, normally it is not recommended to update your bios unless something specific in the changes to the bios directly effect something your doing. Unless there is something specific in the update to your needs, you might want to just stay with the bios that is currently installed. Even if there were only 4 new fixes listed for my mobo , after update I discovered many more options available, GUI changes , better performance and other new characteristics. But it is generally common suggestion not to update unless something specific in the update to an issue your having.
