Elliot B.
Open the nail clippers out and lay them on the phone screen. The screen spazzes out :D I just noticed it, thought I'd post :p Any idea why this is?

+jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted November 11, 2013 Subscriber² Share Posted November 11, 2013 No idea, but on a completely unrelated but related note I once used a laptop near a plasma globe and the touchpad was going crazy because of the radio frequency it gives off. :p
Atomic Wanderer Chicken
Maybe the nail clipper are magnetic or have some metal that the causes a reaction with the screen.
Bryan R.
I have a Lumia 1020 and a Samsung Galaxy Note and I have a pair of small nail clippers. Let the debugging commence. No effect on Note No effect on 1020 At home I will test on a Samsung Galaxy S 3 and a Nexus One. Will post results This clearly needs to be addressed. /s

Bryan R.
Also do a scientific experiment to see if a magnet will have any effect also, I really want to know. :shifty: With a weak magnetic phillips screwdriver, there is no effect at all on the Galaxy Note. Interestingly, the Lumia 1020 responds just fine to the screwdriver just the same as with a finger. Results: inconclusive.
Buttus
i just tried with a paper clip and pair of scissors on my s3, and nothing wierd. altho, the paper clip didn't do anything, the scissors passed the touch on to the screen like a stylus. maybe it's the type of metal in your clippers? SharpGreen
A plugged in charger cord or USB cord used to have the same effect on my GNex. Now for some reason it doesn't.
