Motorola Moto-G arriving soon in UK

Recommended Posts

The Motorola Moto-X never made it to the UK, which was a shame, as I would have bought one.

However, Motorola are bringing the Moto-G to the UK, along with some other countries.

It is available on Amazon UK to order in 8Gb (?135.00) or 16Gb (?159.99).

Pre-loaded with Kitkat (4.4), amongst other features.

The Moto G is Google/Motorola going after low-end WP devices, Nokia Asha devices or Firefox OS devices. They're giving you an awful lot of phone for a comparably low price. And with near stock Android to boot. What's not to like? Now they just have to get the marketing right.

Note: Considering the specs it has to be heavily subsidised to be sold for under ?200 here in Germany. Which tells me Google are willing to lose money in order to gain market share.

They are going after the low-mid range market, and with the specs of the Moto-G, they are providing a high-end; mid range phone for an excellent price, with the full Google Experience.

I know with the nexus range google limit volumes, but I suspect that will not be the case with this Moto-G. It will be widely available.

Still a shame they did not launch the Moto-X worldwide.
