After listening to how awesome the special collectors platinum napalm diamond limited bloodmoon edition is and what it contains for 5 minutes. Every time because he doesn't give you a chance to interrupt and say "no".

I usually just begin to walk off shaking my head if sales people get too pushy. Their attitude changes pretty quickly :)

I hate how hard Game stores push for this stuff.

No I dont want an Infamous hat, a Division scarf and backpack and Watch Dogs sunglasses.

Those are actually useful and i will pay extra for them if i can afford it. Clothing is never a waste if it fits!

Loving the puzzles of the Paper Trail. Some are actually quite hard, kinda reminds me of the ol 'Vanishing Point' game.

Already upto Paper Trail 6 so hit me up if you need help :)

Those paper trails were too much for me, gave up...kudos on actually trying more than one of them!

So. got my PS4 on Monday (bought as a Father's Day gift by my gf from my friend who needed to sell it to have money for a new oven -- came with inFamous, BF4 and Knack).

After beating the game once (Hero playthrough) last night here are my impressions.

* Holy #### graphics.  After spending a good chunk of the last month playing FFX-HD and some Telltale games that were part of the $.99 flash sale, just got-damn!

* Just found out how to do photo mode while playing the last mission, going to have to play around some more on Evil playthrough.

* Seems that Sucker Punch has taken some writing lessons from Naughty Dog, as Delson seemed to be written more like Nathan Drake than Cole.  This is not a bad thing.

* SP seemed to have tightened up "levelling" or maybe it was because of the variety of powers, but I never felt like I had to "grind" for shards or missions post-game like I did in the first two games, especially inFamous 2.

* I know people compare this game to Prototype, but for me it kind of resembled Saints Row 4.  inFamous:SS is a better game overall than SR4, but I kind of felt like SR4 was the better "superhero" game.  I think I felt more powerful in that game.

Completely random note, but when I was at Westwood Online studying game programming, I worked with a random team on a game (that didn't get very far, ah the joys of game development with no studio or bankroll, but I digress...).  I wonder if any of my team is now at SP, because our game starred a Native American protagonist going up against a corporate-government entity set in a dystopian Seattle, although my main influence for the development was closer to Half-Life.

Thanks for sharing and interesting story about your game development past - could well be they are at SP.

But i'm amazed you only got a PS4 now. I mean, I got a PS4...before you did. If we told our 2007 selves this both would have instantly combusted.

I finally decided to dust off the ol' digital copy of inFamous:SS (If bits and bytes can be dusted off that is   :woot: )

After finally playing though the last leg of Second Son,I have to admit, that Second Son is kind of a let down.

Delsin Rowe just isn't a likable character IMHO.  His mindset and decisions that he makes seem more like he would be 13-15yrs old than a 24yr old.

It would of just been better to make him a teen than an adult...

I'm suppose to be a Super Hero/Villain (I chose being a Paragon) but never once felt well "Super"....  I just looked like I was fighting "In Style".

Enemies are about are much stronger that they guy with "Super Powers".  I hit them 7x they don't die. They hit me 3-5x and.... yep you guess it...dead.

I thought about running through the game as a "Renegade". But that probably won't be anytime soon though.  Maybe I'll revisit a 2nd play through in January or February.

The game is pretty to look at, the graphics are nice. I give it that.

Hmmm opinions opinions...thought it was the best Infamous game thus far. Enemies are tough because all Infamous games have been a tad on the hard side, you're not supposed to confront hordes of them directly. The ability to not kill opponents is always a welcome option, and Delsin i didn't mind at all. He's kind of funny and goofy, there was a lot of good writing for dialogs. As a result already paid for the Fetch add-on/expansion. Main criticism of Second Son would be that it was a very poor rendition of Seattle, which was even more odd than what happened in Watch Dogs, as Sucker Punch are from the area.

A lot of reviews and players have said Delsin seems like kind of a douche. Maybe that was the intention.

He even looks like a douche on the cover. He reminds me of those sleazy, smug guys who think think they are universally adored by all women:

He is a bit pretentious in the game, if it helps he's clearly doing the evil playthrough on the cover, in that playthrough he really is a douche.

None of Delsin's powers felt "Super" not one. Sure some have the cool looking effect, but that was about it. The difficulty kinda irked me, they could at least make the odds even. One villain is about strong as strong as Delsin, now imagine hordes of them at a time. And their guns are stronger than any of his powers but he suppose to be the "Superior" to a degree.

I like the 1st inFamous the best.

That's your take on it, and i don't have to imagine anything as i've played the game. You're exaggerating the lack of power on Delsin's part...he was much more powerful than any one agent/opponent. It's ok, you didn't like this game, that's fine, i'm not Sucker Punch and they don't pay me to advocate it :)

inFamous 1 is still the standard to me.  I do like the odd-ball take on 2 of the  powers though (video, neon)...

I just wish that Delsin could do the "Neon Run" like Fetch does it.  But at least the extended Neon run is there.

Matter of taste, Second Son at least gave us multiple powers to switch things up and make it more diverse. But i get it that many didn't take to the new style, which can come across as more hipstery than the gruffness that Cole gave it.

Firing exploding swords and then summoning 50 exploding demons to swoop in and obliterate everything in your path didn't feel super enough?

They were cool looking... Not "Super" IMHO... I wasn't expecting Delsin to be Superman or OP'd vs foes...

Just a bit more superior to them I guess. Get shot 3x and u better run for cover, and do it fast...hit the. Enemy 3 times and they aren't fazed yet... And this even goes for the regular human gang bangers....
