I'm looking to connect the surface 2 to a led Samsung TV. What are my options to do this other than hooking up to the hdmi?

I like to stream online media and show what is on the screen of the surface to the tv. Samsung has the linkstick but I don't know if that will allow me to do what I want. Would hooking up to the linkstick work the same as plugging into the hdmi?

Thanks for any info.

Does your TV support Miracast?

If not, you could pick up a cheap Xbox.

Not sure, the TV I think is a 2010 model, one of Samsung first LCD's. I do have an Xbox hooked up to another TV I could probably move it.

Which miracast is good?
