Table top I want, but they only have one "related product" underneath for a leg. I found another one I want that would match better.

They have not responded to my question.

They screw on, so yeah, just don't use screws longer then the thickness of the tabletop.

$39 for the table top, and 4x4$ for the legs.. $55 for a plain white table with no accents... that's a rip off honestly. for that kind of money you could get a nice looking table.

Oh really?

Do you have a suggestion? Cause in terms of simplicity, there are none, and none at that price. (and the table is glossy, not just white)

the legs could be used on any table top though, the table tops just come with pre drilled holes for the ikea legs so you don't have to measure the right spots and drill yourself.

If all your doing is putting your keyboard and mouse, and arms lightly on it. Then they look nice and are usually cheaper, and there isn't much else needed. That's the appeal.

I assume everything in your house is hand cut mahogany with dovetail joints?

No where near that fancy, but I buy things to last and that are nice. Not cheap ###### to throw away in a year. :/

I guess Ikea is good for college students or similar.

While Ikea has cheap crap stuff, they also have cheap and not so cheap quality stuff.

their bookshelfs are actually very good, despite being cheap. they're solid and you can set them up as you please. their kitches are made the same as all the other kitche makers do today, unless you get a specially made one from a local carpenter, even then it's probably made the same mostly. their regular kitchen tables and chairs, same stuff as everyone else, drawers and tv future are generally of great quality.

a lot of peopel complain about ikea because they've never used or checked them out. sure they have some cheap crap stuff to, but so does every furniture store/maker.

We have Ikea stuff here, as long as you know what you're looking for, you can find good stuff. As noted above, their bookshelves are pretty well made... if I wanted to make my own, I'd use similar materials, as solid wood would be insanely expensive.

Also, sometimes you get things and you want to get rid of them after 5 years.  :D

Surely this is a question best served by Ikea themselves?

Never saw the appeal of Ikea. It's cheap particle board throwaway furniture.

Very blinkered vision. Ikea, believe it or not, doesn't just do crappy cheapo furniture. It does a nice range in Scandinavian medium and high priced furniture to.

Here hear!

My pc desk was bought from Ikea and with all the abuse it's taken over the 15 or so years it's still in one piece (sliders still work though never been oiled, no bowing under heavy crt monitors way back when etc...)
