I found a Table top I want, but they only have one "related product" underneath for a leg. I found another one I want that would match better. xendrome Posted November 26, 2013 Share Posted November 26, 2013 They screw on, so yeah, just don't use screws longer then the thickness of the tabletop. $39 for the table top, and 4x4$ for the legs.. $55 for a plain white table with no accents... that's a rip off honestly. for that kind of money you could get a nice looking table. HawkMan Posted November 28, 2013 Share Posted November 28, 2013 While Ikea has cheap crap stuff, they also have cheap and not so cheap quality stuff. their bookshelfs are actually very good, despite being cheap. they're solid and you can set them up as you please. their kitches are made the same as all the other kitche makers do today, unless you get a specially made one from a local carpenter, even then it's probably made the same mostly. their regular kitchen tables and chairs, same stuff as everyone else, drawers and tv future are generally of great quality. a lot of peopel complain about ikea because they've never used or checked them out. sure they have some cheap crap stuff to, but so does every furniture store/maker. As noted above, their bookshelves are pretty well made... if I wanted to make my own, I'd use similar materials, as solid wood would be insanely expensive. Here hear! My pc desk was bought from Ikea and with all the abuse it's taken over the 15 or so years it's still in one piece (sliders still work though never been oiled, no bowing under heavy crt monitors way back when etc...)
