Just Dance 2014 - PS4

I'm curious to know if anyone who bought the PS4 purchased this game and is able to give details about the motion-tracking without using the move controllers. (Just the PS4 Camera).

 

I've read verified buyers on Amazon and they say it works perfect, blah blah blah.

 

I saw a video on Youtube (Only one which states its the PS4 version and is not a commercial) and he said it didn't work at all.

 

I read an IGN review and they said it didn't work well until they configured the camera positioning and even then it had some minor issues.

 

Its kinda very mixed reviews, anyone here have any insight on Just Dance 2014 game for the PS4?

I may not like dancing games, but I've seen plenty of people that do. Its pretty popular among casual gamers, especially at parties.

Its actually a popular genre, even if some here would rather be killed then to try it :laugh:

Its the top selling genre on 360 / kinect..  Remember when we were fighting about how many units that Metal Gear Solid sold and how everyone said it was the best game ever? Well, Just Dance has sold MORE than that franchise has..

 

Just to put things into perspective :)

 

It's not my thing, but my kids love it..  i've had fun with it goofing off, but thats about it.

Wow, I guess with the success of the Wii I shouldn't be that surprised.  I know all those Zumba games sell like crazy too.   I can see kids being all over it.. I know my kids dance in front of the TV during some dancing show called the "Next Step".

Its a fun party game, plus a good way to goof around with the missus.

 

I like it and get that most here wouldn't play it, but it has it merits.

 

I only really like a few multi-platform games and infamous so I want a PS4 and Just Dance and some fitness games are what the missus wants.

If the PS4 version can do Just Dance without Move Controllers fine, I'll likely just buy that but if not I have no issue with buying both.

 

- not going to lie though, I actually enjoy playing the game a bit too.

Apparently it has its own just dance tv where users upload videos of themselves playing the game. (Probably why most dont seem to bother with youtube)

-link shows both PS3 and PS4 videos, PS3 users are using Move controller, PS4 aren't using anything other than camera.
