Fire crew gives up, dog owners continue digging

The owners of a small dog trapped underground for three days are continuing to search for it despite fire crews saying there is nothing they can do.

The Jack Russell, named Murphy, became stuck after going down a badger's set at a property in the village of Blebo Craigs near Cupar in Fife.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were first called to the site on Sunday and an officer carried out an inspection of the area again on Monday.

However, it became clear that there was nothing the fire service could do to help the animal and they withdrew from the incident.

The owners of the dog have now taken on the search and have began digging in a desperate bid to save their pet. :/

Perhaps the dog likes it there and doesnt want to come out. Or the badger could have killed it. They are not the nicest animals.
