Unable to connect to WLAN on Win 8.1

I had installed Win 8.1 on my old laptop. Everything was smooth. After some updates, I am unable to connect to my router via WLAN

 

Whenever I try to connect, it asks for 8 digit serial number of my router. The router does not have serial number for 8 digits. It's >8 & I am not able to enter more than 8

 

Why am I not able to enter WPA2 key? any ideas>?
