I feel like I have to be stoned out of my gourd, and already have the mentality of an 11yr old to begin with, in order to enjoy that video and the inane laughing and mirth that poured out of those fellows.

That said, DR3 is indeed fun, and a great successor to the franchise.

Haven't played this, but why are there no zombies for player 2?

Said at the start, it was a glitch that caused it to happen. I don't know how to replicate the glitch though

Anyone else mute the video. I hate let's play videos where the commentators are annoying idiots.

Them talking is like 70% of the reason I watch their channels. The same reason I watch Top Gear, a bunch of friends dicking around doing crazy stuff.

I agree with this. It was just the two guys talking on this one. Got annoying pretty quickly for me.

I guess you need to be a crazy American or something to enjoy a single word that comes out of their mouth. Way to eccentric for us British folk.

The game looks awesome though.

I don't see a Dead Rising 3 topic besides this one, so I suppose I'll ask this here...

I'm playing through on completionist, and there's a six-day limit on the campaign. However, from what I can tell, there's no limit on when you have to complete each chapter (different from the previous games, in which you had to move on from a chapter at a certain point). Is that accurate? If so, how long did you all spend on each chapter?

It just seems like they went an annoying route in making the time limit much longer while not telling you when you need to be advancing in the story, since it's an open-world game. I could spend hours doing stuff out in the world since there's so much to do, but I don't want to ruin the campaign and have to start all over.

There is no limit correct. On my first playthrough I had managed to complete the storymode with 3 days to spare, I had dabbled with some side missions etc, so a pure story run could go faster Im sure.

Gotcha. Well I'm trying to take my sweet time on completionist -- not sure why they didn't just make it have no time limit at all (no six-day limit for the campaign, I mean).

It treats you failing to complete the storyline in time as one of the endings. I'm trying to do completionist too now I've done story, keep joining random multiplayer games but usually the host leaves after an hour or so and I join a different game at a different point. I should probably start my own if I want to complete it, I just enjoy playing games coop too much.

I should arrange to play with a fellow Neowinian to aim for completionist really.

I have had this game since launch day, but kept putting off checking it out as I had other games to play on both systems, and quite frankly, being a huge fan of the previous games in the series, I knew there would be no reason I would not enjoy it.
So finally decided to check it out, and let's just say I am not disappointed. It is incredibly fun to play, the whole smart glass integration is really, really well done and adds a new layer on to everything, and it truly does just build on the formula from the past games to create the best Dead Rising experience to date. I have not even achieved all that much as far as the story goes, have done a few main story quests and then got side tracked with the side quests and just killing and searching, but damn, it is a whole, whole lot of fun.
Reading this thread made me realize I should probably start paying attention to the timer.
Just such a good game, and not sure why it does not seem to be getting more recognition to be honest. If I had to guess it is because the visuals are not all that impressive, but that really does not matter in a game like this. They are decent enough, and it is the gameplay that makes this game what it is, not the visuals.

Thanks for all the feedback in this thread. This seals the deal, if I can afford it, getting an X1. PS4 is getting lonely, she needs Xbox companionship. Never seen this game face to face and honestly did not like the first two. They had great stories and cool characters, but I'm no fan of difficult games. So when I heard that DR3 did away with the strict time limits and annoying save structure, realized this third time indeed may be the charm. Now to handle the money part...
