Windows 8.1 Question

Recommended Posts

I'm sure you can figure that out by going to TechNet directly, don't need to login.

Which ISO are you talking about as there are about 30 on TechNet. LOL

Also doubt you can use Windows 8 keys to install, only activate.

File Name: en_windows_8_1_enterprise_x64_dvd_2971902.iso

Languages: English

SHA1: AE792B2EF982DAC7391224B624EAB8D6340D78AB

That took 2 seconds :p It's right there on the front page where they say Existing Subscribers - Download your software.

There's also Enterprise N or UK editions and VL editions. So it all depends on which specific one you are looking for.

You can use the ei.cfg file to avoid having to put a key in during install as the 8.1 installer will not accept 8.0 keys. Once it is install you can use a 8.0 key to activate.

All of the SHA-1 hashs are on msdn downloads you don't need to login to find whatever it is you need. They also have the default filenames if you need to know those too.
