Question

Do you guys remember Black and White? The original one was so awesome that I spent hours playing the game over and over again and even created my first website around that. But after I moved to USA.... I was dumbfounded, no one heard or even played Black and White . Then  came Creature Isle, not exactly what I wanted but it was damn fun. Had high hopes for Black and White 2 but it was missing the magic Black and White had. BNW2 was too tactical and Age of Empires like in my opinion... but any news on Black and White 3? I really wanna see the return of Nemesis or Lythes... or Khazar even... as the bad guy :p

so far as i know Lionhead stopped production on any further games in the series after the poor sales performance of Black and White 2. however, there are plenty of other god games out there to play.

I had the same experience, loved B&W but found that B&W2 was lacking in the magic of the first one. Time to reinstall it I think!

I bought Black & White the day it came out after months of hype from the studio. I got a fair amount in and then a bug with my game save prevented me from progressing or something. I don't remember with it being so many years ago. Was too annoyed to start over and that was that!

Maybe B&W2 would have sold better if it didn't have a massive bug just on the 3-4th level of the single player campaign out of the box! A bug that stopped you progressing.

Black & White were interesting games, but I don't think they'd stand up very well today. There just isn't enough to do in them.

I remember them showing off a new game engine that had a totally destructible environment with lava and stuff, never saw anything of it again after that. It wasn't exactly B&W but a new game based on the same idea. Wonder what happened to it.

Black and White was one of those few style of games that I think an Achievement system would greatly improvement my enjoyment.

The first one was really good.  Ol' Peter over-promised and failed to deliver on the 2nd one.

I think Peter Molyneux is working on Godus at the moment.
