ultimate99
Is there a way to know what has changed after a windows update? Like drivers update, for example?
+Zlip792 MVC Posted December 11, 2013 MVC Share Posted December 11, 2013 Reading through Knowledge Base articles of particular updates and noting drivers detail using Device Manager > Particular Driver > Driver tab...
Liana
You can go to Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features -> Installed Updates, and see a list of all updates there, but as far as a changelog or a detailed list of changed files, I'm not sure, not beyond reading the Knowledge base articles anyway. snaphat (Myles Landwehr) 1 Share
Louisifer
In windows update choose 'view update history' to see everything that has been installed along with install date and if it failed/succeeded. It shows more information in the title than 'installed updates' method :)
snaphat (Myles Landwehr) Member Posted December 11, 2013 Member Share Posted December 11, 2013 As others pointed out, the Knowledge base articles are essentially the best you'll get. I wouldn't however believe they are are an exhaustive list of changes. At times they a darn vague.
ultimate99
Thanks. But I was looking for driver updates/changes. Probably doesn't exist in windows and detailed like Even Viewer.

You could try look up the driver version and see if the vendor says anything about the updates.
Praetor
everything gets stored in the Event Viewer, so you might see that; check the System Log as the update packages get logged in there.

+BudMan MVC Posted December 12, 2013 MVC Share Posted December 12, 2013 I was looking for driver updates/changes. Probably doesn't exist in windows and detailed like Even Viewer. Like "even" viewer? Did you mean event viewer? What OS shows you detailed info on driver updates/changes? Can you explain what you would like to see? Or what other OS does what you want to see in windows?
